Orange and Yellow Eyeshadow Tutorial with Anastasia Beverlyhills Subculture Palette

Orange and Yellow Eyeshadow Tutorial with Anastasia Beverlyhills Subculture Palette

Here's a very orange and yellow eye shadow tutorial using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette.

I love these mac n cheese colors with blue eyes, but really anyone can rock this look. It's got a nice punch of warm color, yet doesn't look too crazy and it's super fast to apply.

I wear this look quite often, sometimes a bit more yellow sometimes a bit more orange and I really like using a green iridescent color as a highlight, but you can use any color you'd like.

Start out by priming your eyes, I use the Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Eyeshadow Primer.

Next add a base shadow, that's any eye shadow that is matte and close to your skin tone. I find this especially important when using the Subculture Palette. I am using a Sigma Large Shader to apply and Makeup Geek Baby Face as the base eye shadow.

Using a large fluffy brush (I am using a DLX Blending Crease by Crown) apply Dawn from the Anastasia Subculture Palette from the crease blending upwards towards brow. Blend a bit more Dawn along the lower lash line as well.

Now I am switching to a Hakuhodo J2255 since it's large and fluffy yet also pointed so I have more control and I am dipping into Edge from the Anastasia Subculture Palette.

Place the color from the crease then pulling the color towards the inner orbital bone, then blend creating a tapered wing. Dip into Edge again and place color along the lower lash line and blend as far down as you are comfortable with.

This time we're going to concentrate New Wave from the Anastasia Subculture Palette  along the crease and lower lash line, not blending as far out as the other colors.

Using a Hakuhodo J142 place New Wave into your crease and just above, and also with a heavier hand put a whole lot of New Wave along that lower lash line.

Be mindful to keep the winged shape at the outer edge of the eye shadow shape (if you're into that).

I added a touch of green to keep it interesting. For this step you can choose any color really. A champagne or light pearl if you wanna keep it more analogous, but it looks great with green, blue, purple iridescent colors.

With a Sigma E21 I smudged a bit of Destiny (a matte, midtone olive green) along the outer half of the lower lash line. I also added Green Emerald from the Kat von D Alchemist palette.

Then curl your lashes and add some mascara! I am wearing the Maybelline Full & Soft Waterproof Mascara in very black.

You can also add lashes for some extra drama. I am loving these lashes lately, they are the XO Beauty The Wanderlust lashes and I am going to have to order more this week!

Here's a look at this mac and cheese colored eye shadow with glasses. Glasses are a big reason as to why I have been wearing false lashes less, they tend to hit my glasses.

And here's the reason this is only an eyeshadow not full face tutroial. Julia woke up early from her nap.

I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. Let me know in the comments how you feel about text + photo tutorials. These are less time consuming than video tutorials so I can easily do a few during the week while my daughter naps if you want to see more. Thanks so much for reading!
