Plum and Champagne Halo Eyeshadow Tutorial

Plum and Champagne Halo Eyeshadow Tutorial

Hey guys! I wanted to create a pretty look that will work for most eye shapes. This warm plum and champagne halo eyeshadow tutorial is an easy-intermediate level and you can always switch up the colors to fit what you like best. Let me know if you'll be wearing this look in the comments below and tag #rebeccashoresmua so I can see your work.

Prime your eyelids and add a base shadow. I am using the Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre to prime and I am using Mac Blanc Type as a base shadow.

Now we're going to start the halo, I am starting out with Anastasia  eyeshadow in Sangria (frost, warm plum). Apply this to the inner and outer third of the eye, leaving the center bare. I used a Sigma E45 to apply. You also want to do this same step on the lower lash line.

Now you want to deepen up the edges even more. I applied a bit of Anastasia Beauty Mark (Matte, deep purpley brown) to the iner corner and the outer v, and the inner quarter of the lower lash line and outer third of the lower lash line. I applied with a Sigma E30 pencil brush and then blended it out with a clean Hakuhodo J142.

Blend all that out, be mindful of the shape. I like to have my outer corner come to a point and I don't go too crazy in the inner corner. You can change this up depending on your eye shape and preference.

Now the fun part! I love adding the light color in the center. I am using Urban Decay Easy Baked (shimmer, pale gold) and I am using a Mac 242 to apply.

Time for the finishing touches. Take The Balms Mary Lou Manizer (super shimmery, pale champagne) on your finger and tap in right in the middle of the Easy Baked. I also take Mac Mylar (satin, off white) on a MAC 239 to highlight the brow bone and inner corner.

Now just curl your lashes and add some mascara. I also added some lashes, they are the Carroussel Lashes in Victoire.

I hope you liked the look and that you'll try it out!
