Mermaid Eyes Urban Decay Electric Palette Makeup Tutorial

This is a fun & colorful tutorial, but not over-the-top colorful. While creating this look I sent a snapchat to my sister with half my eyeshadow done and she commented "#mermaid status", so that's where the title for the tutorial came from.  So keep on reading if you'd like to see how I created this look or click here if you'd like to watch the video tutorial.

Start out by priming your lids. I am using Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer.

Pat Urban Decay Freak (shimmer, bright green with gold shift) all over the center of the lid. I used the larger size brush that comes with the Electric Palette.

Apply Urban Decay Thrash (shimmer, bright lime green matte with floating gold pearl) in the very center of the Freak. I used the Urban Decay Electric brush for this step as well.

Apply Fringe (shimmer, bright metallic teal) to the outer edges. I use a Sigma E45 for this step.

Apply Freak again just over the edges of the Fringe to blend.

Apply Urban Decay Gonzo (matte, bright turquoise matte with floating tonal pearl) the the outer v. I use a Sigma E45 for this.

Add a tiny bit of Urban Decay Revolt (metallic, silver) to the inner corner.

Apply a  base shadow (matte and close to your skin tone) from the crease to the brow. I am using Mac Blanc Type (matte, cream) and I use a Sigma E60 for this.

Blow out a transition color, I am using Mac Wedge (matte, neutral light brown) with a Sigma E40.

Add some Mac Embark (matte, warm brown) with a Sigma 45.

Take some Mac Shale (satin, grey-purple-taupe) on a MAC 217 and blend then blow out the shadow.

Bump up the Revolt using a wet pencil brush.

Add some winged liner. I am using Benefit's They're Real Push-up Liner.

Apply Freak to the center of the lower lash line with a pencil brush.

Apply Thrash to the center of the lower lash line with a pencil brush.

Apply Fringe to the outer corners of the lower lash line in pencil brush.

Apply Freak over the whole lower lash line using a sweeping motion to blend it with the other colors. Again, I am using a pencil brush.

Apply some blue liner to the waterline. I am using Urban Decay Deep End.

Super blow out the Shale under the lower lash line using a Mac 217. Blow upward in whatever shape is most flattering for your eye shape--do what you want!

Apply some of MAC Mylar to highlight the inner corner.
